Lowland Gorilla Birth in Virunga

Rangers were happy to discover the birth of a lowland gorilla in Virunga National Park earlier this month.  The baby was witnessed while rangers were on patrol in the Tshiaberimu area of the park. Rock Art Vandalized in Big Bend

The National Park Service (NPS) disclosed that vacationers to Big Bend National Park vandalized historic rock carvings over the Christmas holidays.  These vandals scratched names and dates over the carvings which are believed to be around 3,000 years old.
